I fear summer is well and truly over, rain rain rain. Have just taken on Pants to Poverty Pants, fab cause, i really want as many of you to get them as possible please! check them out.
Looking forward to our stand at Queens Park day with Bilson Blue, please come along.......more info will follow.
Pookie went on a school trip last week, and had been told quite rightly by her teachers not to speak to stangers as "Mummy, they may try to give you something like a poisioned lollipop".
When back from the trip Pookie told me that she held the teachers hand and didn't talk to strangers who were there, she said no to the lollipop when offered it and also to the chicken as that may have been poisioned too!!
Nothing like the lure of a bit of chicken to a child.
Needless to say my child has quite an active imagination!!
I always love imagining what my children talk about with their friends at school. Its turns out that a topic this week between three of the girls where which order the lyrics of Mama Mia appear in the song!
For all of not in the know a fish does not constitute a pet, because.....it does not have legs
Pookie I do kind of get it and I like it too..x
Thank you to all of you who came to our first Pop up shop. We really enjoyed meeting you all and really appreciate the great turnout we had. Hopefully this will be the start of many more!!!
Pop up shop a week today at Le Cochinet, very hectic and exciting, I hope as many of you as possible will come. Samantha Morris and I will be taking over the party room with a fabulous 15% off everything......
Peach is officially allergic to peanuts, poor thing, no skippy for her, or us for that matter, but luckily no epipen required. Pookie has asked "Why is Peach delicate to peanuts?" which I thought rather charming.
New girls brand on the way, awesome stuff from the costume designers of Moulin Rouge. LOVE LOVE LOVE, hope you will too. Lotson the pipeline and a one off pop up shop event in Maida Vale on 23 April, will post details shortly. 15% off so worth coming down, Virtual discounts still applies......We are just too good to you!
Beyond tired.........Monday night the whole house was puking (except me) husband sick 1.15am, Pookie sick 2.30am, strip sheets, 4.00am Peach sick, strip sheets, meanwhile Pookie sick again strip our sheets, the mountain of sheets is now nearing ridiculous and a conveyor belt of washing is before me. I am not sure if I have ever experienced a night of no sleep, this was extremely close. Pleased to report bug has now left the building. I had a sense of foreboding about "catching it" but am relying on the "these things come in threes"saying. If you have been hit, my condolences. The best thing is I then slept terribly last night, so am in dire need of sleep or a nice long hot holiday.......... I hope one does at least not allude me.
Have found more fab new things which we will be bring to you in the next few months for spring and summer (if it ever arrives!) Visited the Tricycle theatre on Saturday which was great fun for the Teddy bears picnic, the children loved it and a £6 a pop well worth it.
Everyone seems to have the lirgy, our house included, get well Peach you are being very stoic and very good at taking you fake banana tasting antibiotics!
New book plates nearing completion. These are totally fantastic and I hope you are all going to love them as much as we do. Have a fab feature in Insight magazine which we are thrilled about, Thank you Insight! take a look if you have the chance they have a virtual magazine on line. About to put our sizzle piece up on line, watch out for it, it's a real winner. Off next week to look at all the great new things coming in the childrens world for spring and summer so I'll be making some tough decisions as to what makes the grade here. Pookie and Peach get your testing hats at the ready.......
7.10am yesterday....Look out the window "Mummy it's snowing, how wonderful!" (how grown up)
Classic has to be when Pookie was banging on the side of a plate with a spoon and was told don't do that, she responsed with "Oh yes, I musn't do that because it's made in china and it might break!!!
Eurodisney in winter.....have no romantic notions, having the -5 wind in your face on a flying dumbo is no kind of picnic. Having your return journey home cancelled twice and then delayed 2 hours just adds to the fun. Suffice it to say we will not be going again in Winter, although meeting Princess Belle obviously outweighs any of the above laments.
"Mummy", say Pookie "We all go to the loo don't we"
"Yes we do Darling"
"You know why, don't you? "
"Why darling"
"It's because we all have bottoms Mummy!"
Love it! From the mouths of babes
My mother has now suggested that she would love to get involved in the site and we can rename it Pookie and Peach and the old bag!!! You gotta love her.
So on Friday we had our first Open house Christmas Sale, loads of laughs and a great thing to do. Thank you to those of you who attended, it was such fun. I now want an actual non virtual shop as well. It would of course be the best funky toy shop on the planet. Coffee and champagne for grown ups, places for your children to play, a home from home, a place unlike any other.....Now winning lottery numbers anyone!??
New product in the works....bookplates. We all loved bookplates as children, writing our names in, even if no one else could understand what you'd written! A great tradition, we hope is here to stay. Pookie and Peach plates of course have that funky twist, so watch this space........
Our first Pookie and Peach product, hot off the press: Colour-in Christmas cards, a massive hit with Pookie. Includes 8 cards (4 designs) with Christmas coloured envelopes to keep your little ones busy for that special recipient. Printed on high grade 320gsm card for that extra special quality a felt pen deserves!
Coming soon, uber groovy shoes for little feet from Jack and Lily. For girls we have leopard print and funky skull and cross bones with metallic pink bows (so fashion forward!!) and for boys pirate ships and silver dragons...
